ABOUT BODY PEACE WELLNESS
Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here! (no really!) It takes a lot of courage to pursue therapy and whether you feel absolutely ready for it or absolutely terrified - you’ve come to the right place.
My name is Stephanie (she/they) and I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Missouri. I am the owner and therapist at Body Peace Wellness which was created out of my own experience and journey living in a larger body. My goal is to help other people navigate the world we live in by beginning a journey of healing and recovery.
Most of my experience is rooted in working with and treating eating disorders in adolescents, young adults, and adults of all gender identities. I have been able to work in residential, partial hospital, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care throughout my career which continue to inform my daily work as a clinician.
If you’re ready to take the next steps, then check out the rest of my website and click on the contact tab if you would like to reach out or need more information!

For my undergraduate degree, I attended Murray State University (go Racers!) followed by my Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana. I also have a post graduate certificate from the Silver School of Social Work at New York University in Spirituality and Social Work.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Missouri! This means I received my Masters degree in Social Work followed by employment and supervision under an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) for around 3000 hours before taking my final clinical exam to become fully licensed. Fully licensed means that I have my own clinical license and can practice without supervision.

My approach is somewhat simple in the sense that I believe that every client is different and has different needs, so my approach to therapy has to reflect that. I am mostly aligned with a Person Centered Approach which allows space for the client to be the expert on their experience and for the therapist to take a backseat role in the therapeutic process. This typically looks like letting the client guide conversations which hopefully empowers the client to take an active role in the responsibility of their therapy journey.

A lot of my free time is spent traveling and reading as well as expanding my exquisite Lego collection! I am an STL transplant, so I love visiting friends and family that live out of state. Other than that, my wife and I (as well as our two dogs and two cats) love watching documentaries and reality TV in our spare time.
